This was a very busy day for the 61 participants in the 9th Photo Trek. From 7 am to 11 am they wandered the streets of Saint-Etienne in order to take pictures on the theme of “Saint-Etienne: city of architecture and design” (with a short break for a reception at the city hall). They then had four hours to walk part of the magnificent PR5 footpath, still within the Greater Saint-Etienne area, and photograph the “Gorges de la Loire regional nature reserve”. They submitted their best photos on these two themes at a checkpoint at the Château of Saint-Victor-sur-Loire. The next stage, from 4 pm to 9 pm, took the Photo Trekkers to Doizieux, from where they hiked the 10-km trail along the “Vallée de Dorlay” to the next checkpoint, at La Terrasse-sur-Dorlay. The village hall at La Terrasse-sur-Dorlay provided the venue for a buffet supper, between 9.30 pm and 11.30 pm, while the jury judged their photos and gave its verdict. A short slideshow of the best photos brought this long day to a close.
