LUS-LA-CROIX-HAUTE

Dear Photo Trekkeurs, we welcome you to this 14th Photo Trek! Remember to check your equipment, your batteries (phone and camera), rain gear for you as well as for your photo equipment ;-) etc ... See list in the previous pages.

- 11am to 12pm: In Lus-la-Croix-Haute, follow the direction of the ski resort and the Valley of the Jarjatte. Go to the end of the paved road that continues past the vacation center/campsite. Checkpoint at the bumpy parking lot which is just at the end of the paved road. Prepare your bag carefully ;-).

- 12h30 pm : Departure on the paths that lead to the Lauzon Lake, a natural jewel. We will give you a map with all the information you need to know to make this aerial hike go well (9,3 kms - 800 meters of positive difference in altitude - Announced for 5h, I took 7h by really taking the time to make a lot of pictures). For those who can't participate in a difficult hike, you can do only the first part which, after the exit of the forest, leads to a majestic landscape (there is just a small passage of rocks in stairs but very fast). Warning, for the others you have to be careful because the part before, near and around the lake is breathtaking! Don't back up to take a picture without checking the ground behind you...! If you stray from the trail, be sure to look for the next part! Be creative, take the time to look around you, turn around because the landscape is different in the other direction, go towards the people you meet (especially down in the villages), think about the close-ups, the details of the landscape and reread the themes like "colors, materials, reflections, shadows,...". The return after the lake is mandatory by the recommended path, going back is very dangerous (because the path is too steep to go back down)!

- 9 p.m.-11 p.m.: Checkpoint at the municipal campsite “Les Chaussières” 19 Chemin du Bez 26410 Châtillon-en-Diois and (if you have the courage) recovery of some favorite images (number as you wish) for the press, the website, Facebook groups and tomorrow night's meal. Free dinner tonight.
