The hikes took the Photo Trekkers to the following municipalities:
Greater Saint-Etienne, from the city to the Gorges de la Loire.
Saint-Etienne city centre, to take photos on the theme of “Saint-Etienne – city of architecture and design”, and then a 4 km hike beside the River Loire, untamed but protected by Cathar-esque castles, to Saint-Victor-sur-Loire.
Doizieux and La Terrasse-sur-Dorlay, also in the Pilat Regional Park.
A 12-km hike through the Dorlay Valley, rising from 436 m a.s.l. to 738 m a.s.l. (total height gain: 449 m). Time to explore these two magnificent villages, hiking between them under the evening sun. Relaxed evening with slideshow.
La Valla-en-Gier, in the Pilat Regional Park.
10-km hike along Val Haut, from 660 m a.s.l. to 914 m a.s.l. (total height gain: 423 m). You will have plenty of time to take photos.
A very pleasant footpath through surprising, rolling countryside. Detour to admire the spectacular Saut du Gier waterfall. Return in the middle of the afternoon, so you have time to choose your best photos. First jury and results that same evening in a wonderful atmosphere.
Saint-Héand, hike to a vantage point looking across the Greater Saint-Etienne area:
This very dynamic village lies just below Mont Morin and Mont Antennes, two superb viewpoints overlooking the entire Greater Saint-Etienne area. Prize-giving ceremony and exhibition of your best photos, printed in a variety of formats, some small, some very large, by 123IMPRIM.
